The data we use
We use the Swiss Ephemeris to know exactly where the Sun, Moon and planets are at any moment. This is real astronomy data - not guesswork.
The rules we follow
On top of that data we use the classic Vedic method (Parashari / BPHS) and the Lahiri Ayanamsha - the standard most Indian panchangs use - so our tithi, nakshatra and timings line up with what you already trust.
